Andrew Morales Garners NCBWA Third-Team All-America Honors

IRVINE, Calif. --- Andrew Morales added a second All-America honor after earning third-team accolades from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Morales, who was voted a second-team choice in May by Collegiate Baseball, became the first Anteater to go undefeated on the mound after boasting a 10-0 record in his first year with the program. The Rio Hondo College transfer owned a 1.89 ERA to finish third in the UCI single-season records.
The right-hander picked up three Big West Pitcher of the Week honors and ended the regular season ranked 42nd in the nation in ERA. With 85 strikeouts, Morales was fourth in the conference and held the opposition to a .227 batting average. He capped the stellar season with a spot on the All-Big West first-team.
