Tournament Information

LOS ALAMITOS --- UC Irvine alum Brandon Johnson scored a hat trick Saturday in the USA National Team's 24-0 win over Canada in the FINA World League Prelims at the USA Water Polo National Training Center in Los Alamitos.

Johnson scored a goal in the first, third and fourth quarters.  He added two more goals in a 13-12, shootout loss to Brazil later Saturday.  

Johnson was a three-time All-American and scored 196 goals for the 'Eaters from 2007-10.

Other members of the USA 1 team include UCI alums Greg Enloe, Matt Johnson and Griffin Lerman.  UCI's Marc Hunt is serving as interim head coach this weekend for the USA squad.
