AUSTIN, Texas --- UC Irvine sophomore Mason Miller concluded his 2013 season Friday in the NCAA West Preliminary Round at Austin, Texas.

In the shot put prelims, Miller had a top mark of 55-11 ¼ (17.05 meters) and did not advance to the finals.  He finished 21st overall of the 48 competitors in the prelims.

Friday's action was delayed over four hours due to weather in the Austin area.
