Irvine, Calif. -- Outside hitter Kevin Tillie and libero Michael Brinkley were named to the All-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation first team, while middle blockers Collin Mehring and Scott Kevorken were named to the second team selected by the league coaches Thursday.

Tillie was named a first team honoree for the second consecutive year after leading the Anteaters with a 3.84 kill average. The senior ranks seventh in kills, sixth in points (4.47), eighth in aces (0.34) and 12th in digs (1.76) among MPSF players.

Brinkley ranks second in the MPSF and ninth nationally in digs with a 2.55 average. The sophomore has recorded 260 digs this year which is the fifth best total in the UCI season record book.

Mehring ranks second in the conference in hitting percentage (.486) and fourth in blocks (1.26). The junior set a school record with 14 block assists against BYU which is tied for the most in the MPSF this year. He also tied a UCI match record, hitting 1.000 (11-0-11) in the first meeting with Cal Baptist.

Kevorken leads the MPSF in hitting percentage with a .492 mark. The junior has hit over .500 15 times this season. He also averages 1.03 blocks per set, tying his career-high with seven block assists last week against Cal State Northridge. Kevorken was named to the MPSF All-Freshman team in 2011.

This is the first conference honor for Brinkley and Mehring.
