Ledezma, Farzaneh Score West Honors

IRVINE, Calif. --- The senior pair earned All-West Region nods for their play representing UC Irvine following the 2013 season.

Senior forward Natalia Ledezma made the list for her third time and second as a second-teamer. The striker knocked home six goals and 13 points ranking her second on the squad and led all players with five game-winning goals as she was one of five Anteaters to start and play in every match.

Zoya Farzaneh completed her illustrious career with third team honors, her first appearance on the list. The senior defender doubled her career scoring output in one season notching three goals, three assists, and adding a pair of game-winners. On top of the numbers, she captured Big West Defender of the Year honors on a backline that earned six shutouts and a conference-low 74 shots on goal allowed.

The program as a whole welcomes multiple All-West Region recipients for the fifth consecutive season, and raises the total to 20 over the program's history. UCI finished second in the Big West reaching in the semifinal of the Big West Tournament. Under Head Coach Scott Juniper, the Anteaters have now earned double-digit wins in five of his seven season and have secured a tournament nod in six of those thanks to 14 All-West Region award winners that he has coached.
