SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- Eighth-ranked UC Irvine fell to No. 6 UC Santa Barbara, 11-7, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation game at Campus Pool in Santa Barbara Saturday.

Senior Bojan Hrlec scored a game-high three goals for the 'Eaters, who fell to 11-9 overall and 0-4 in the MPSF.

Freshman Kyle Trush added two goals while Tyler Mancuso and Mitch Wise also scored.

Four players scored two goals apiece for the Gauchos (16-6, 3-2).

The 'Eaters trailed 4-3 after one quarter before Wise scored early in the second period to knot the score at 4-4. 

UCSB then scored five consecutive goals to go up 9-4 midway through the third.

UCI hosts Stanford in an MPSF game Friday night at 7:00 at Anteater Aquatics Complex.
