Anteaters at NCAA Inter-Regional Meet Friday

IRVINE, Calif. --- The UC Irvine women's cross country team travels to Sacramento Friday for the NCAA Inter-Regional Jamboree at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.
The women's 5,000-meter race is set to start at 10:30 a.m. Haggin Oaks will also host the NCAA West Regional Nov. 15.
Women's teams competing Friday with UCI and host Sacramento State are Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, California, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Nevada, Oregon State, Pacific, San Diego State, San Francisco, UC Davis, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, UCLA, USC and Washington State.
Seven of the women's teams are ranked in the West Region, led by No. 5 San Francisco.
UCI placed third in the Mustang Challenge Sept. 21 in Santa Clarita in the team's last competition.
SCHEDULE CHANGE: UCI will now compete in the Vanguard Invitational Saturday, Oct. 12, at Fairview Park in Costa Mesa. The women's 5,000-meter race will be at 9:50 a.m.
