Nicole Mendoza Leads UCI at Titan Invitational

FULLERTON, Calif. --- Senior Nicole Mendoza was UC Irvine's top finisher in Friday's Titan Invitational on the Cal State Fullerton campus.
Mendoza recorded a time of 18:52.6 over the 5,000-meter course to finish 35th of 95 runners.
UCI's Katie Kass was 39th in 19:05.3, Mary Follo placed 40th in 19:05.8 and Lauren Hall finished 54th with a time of 19:25.8.
Pearl Law placed 61st (19:46.7), Courtney Sharar 68th (20:06.0 and Aliya Shah 70th (20:17.2) to complete the Anteaters' top seven.
Rosa Del Toro of SoCal Elite won the race in 17:15.9. UCI finished seventh in the team competition with 171 points as UCLA was first with 31.
The Anteaters compete in the Big West Conference Championships next Saturday (Nov. 2) at San Luis Obispo.
