Santa Barbara, Calif. -- No. 1 UC Irvine defeated No. 7 Long Beach State, 3-0 (25-20, 25-23, 25-14) at the UCSB Invitational Friday night.

The Anteaters advance to the championship match Saturday and will face No. 6 UCLA at 6:30 p.m. in Robertson Gym.

UCI has won the tournament title in 2003, 2007 and 2012.
