Box Score BUCKLEY NAMED ESPN ZONE ANAHEIM ANTEATER OF THE WEEK
Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine women's basketball player Camille Buckley has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The junior forward from Ontario recorded her third double-double of the season with a career-high 19 points and 15 rebounds in the Anteaters victory over CSU Bakersfield, 66-52 Dec. 28. Buckley scored 17 of her team-best points in the second half. Currently, Buckley trails teammate Jennifer Tsurumoto in scoring with 10.7 points per game. Buckley leads the Anteaters in rebounds, and is 5th in the Big West in rebounds, averaging 7.6 per game, while also being 3rd in offensive rebounds with a 3.5 average per game.
The Anteaters open Big West play hosting UC Santa Barbara Jan. 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Bren Center. The 'Eaters also welcome Cal Poly on Jan. 5 at 4:00 p.m. at the Bren Center.
