UCI had another strong game of ball distribution with 24 assists on 30 baskets, but the 'Eaters committed a season-high 22 turnovers, leading to 21 Northridge points.

"I was pleased with how we were able to break away a bit in the second half against a tough team, UCI head coach Russell Turner said.

"I thought Will Davis came out and played aggressive with shot-blocking and rebounding. We had a lot of guys with good performances tonight.  We were able to get really good shots and some easy shots around the basket with our ball movement.

"It was a great atmosphere in here and I want to thank everyone for coming out and supporting us, especially as we prepare to go on the road for our next three games. I hope we can continue to build energy around our program," Turner added.

UCI begins a stretch of three straight road games Thursday night at 8:00 at Cal State Fullerton before traveling to UC Riverside next Saturday for a Big West game at 7:00 p.m.
