Anteaters Finish In 14th At Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship

Powell, Ohio -- UC Irvine women's golfers Michelle Park and Ronnie Valerio finished in a tie for 14th place at the 3rd Annual Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club in Powell, OH.
The Anteaters shot a total score of 153 Thursday with Valerio carding a 76 and Park posting a 77 on the final round. The duo teamed for a 14th place finish with a three round score of 298 (76-69-153). Erica Popson and A.J. Newell from Tennessee won the tournament with a score of 286 (78-64-144).
The three day tournament consisted of a round of Alternate Shot, Best Ball as well as the final Aggregate Score. Fifty-four teams were comprised of players from all levels of collegiate golf including Division I, II and III programs.
