UCI Golfers Tied For 15th Heading Into Final Round Of Pure Silk Women's Collegiate

Powell, Ohio -- UC Irvine's Michelle Park and Ronnie Valerio are tied for 15th place after the second round of the 3rd Annual Pure Silk Women's Collegiate Team Championship at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club in Powell, OH.
Park, who will be a senior at UCI this fall and Valerio, who will be a junior, combine to shoot a three-under par 69 during the second round which was played in a Best Ball format. They are in 15th place with a two day total of 145 (76-69).
Three teams share the top of the leaderboard with Meredith Swanson and Samantha Swinehart (South Carolina), Kendall Martindale and Lauren Stratton (Vanderbilt) and Ashley Armstrong and Kristina Nhim (Notre Dame) leading the 55-team field with a score of 138.
Teams return Thursday morning for the final day of action with tee times set to begin at 8:00 a.m. The final round is played with the Aggregate Score of the two players. Teams are comprised of players from all levels of collegiate golf including Division I, II, III and NAIA programs.
This year marks the inaugural title sponsorship of Pure Silk, a moisturizing shave cream for women.
