Carson Clark And Kevin Tillie Tabbed First Team All-America

Irvine, Calif. – Senior Carson Clark and junior Kevin Tillie have been named first team All-America by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

Clark, a senior opposite makes his fourth appearance on the All-American list, earning first team twice (2012, 2010) and second team two times (2011, 2009). He became the first player in MPSF history to be named to the all-conference first-team all four years.  Clark currently ranks third nationally in aces (0.53), 10th in hitting percentage (.335) and 11th in kills (3.72).

Tillie, a junior outside hitter, has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week twice this season and ranks third in the country in hitting percentage with a .393 mark. He is second on the team, averaging 3.60 kills and 4.18 points. Tille becomes an AVCA All-American for the first time in addition to receiving first-team All-MPSF honors.

Second-ranked UC Irvine will battle No. 1 USC tonight in a MPSF semifinal match at the Galen Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.
