FRESNO, Calif. --- The UC Irvine men's golf team finished ninth in the Fresno State Lexus Classic that concluded Tuesday at Fort Washington Country Club.
Oregon State won the 16-team tournament with a three-round total of 1,087. Washington State was second at 1,093 and San Diego third at 1,096. UCI had a 54-hole score of 1,118.
Alex Ching of San Diego was medalist at 7-under 209, four shots ahead of runner-up Alex Edfort of Pacific.
UCI's Allan Jun (76 Tuesday) and Michael Yang (80) tied for fourth at 1-under 215.
Pete Fernandez, who shot 76 in the final round, placed eighth at 217, Zack Duan (86) was 82nd at 236, Ryan Knapp (89) was 91st at 239 and Bhuvan Potluri (85) finished 93rd at 241.
The Anteaters are back in action at the Callaway Golf Invitational Mar. 12-13 at the Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe.
