Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine women's basketball player Kassandra McCalister has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week. 

The 5'9 senior guard from Sunnyvale led the Anteaters this past week averaging 22.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals, while shooting .500 from the field and three-point range over two games. McCalister started the week with her first career double-double, totaling 17 points and 10 rebounds in a victory over Long Beach State. She ended the week versus the Matadors, scoring 27 points and seven rebounds. She also went a career best 5-7 from the three-point territory. Although suffering a loss to first place Northridge, the Eaters' are currently tied for second in the Big West with six wins.     

UC Irvine will travel to Northern California to face UC Davis on Thurs. (Feb. 9), and Pacific on Sat. (Feb. 11).
