Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine men's volleyball player Kevin Tillie has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The junior outside hitter from Cagnus-sur-Mer, France was voted the Sports Imports/AVCA Men's Division I-II National Player of the Week. Tillie was a key player in two of UC Irvine's wins this past week, helping the team to a 3-1 win against both Pepperdine and USC. Tillie recorded a career-best 13 kills, accumulated five digs, and hit .478 (13-2-23) against the Waves. Against the Trojans, Tillie bested himself with a career-high 18 kills, three block assists, and he hit .567. Tillie wrapped up his week averaging 3.88 kills, 4.19 points, and hitting .528.
UC Irvine will travel to Hawaii the weekend of Feb. 10th and will face Stanford at home in the Bren Center Feb. 17th
