STARRING NAMED ESPN ZONE ANAHEIM ANTEATER OF THE WEEK
Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine men's basketball player Daman Starring has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The senior guard from Las Vegas scored 15 points Saturday night (Dec. 8) against Weber State. During the game he shot 4-8 from the field and 6-8 from the free-throw line. For the season Starring ranks tenth in the Big West in field goal percentage (.488) and three point percentage (.444). He also leads the team in scoring with 13.4 points per game which is good for 13th in the Big West.
UCI returns back to the court Saturday night as they travel to Fresno State. Game time is at 7:00. The Anteaters returning home Tuesday, to take on LSU at the Bren Center.
