STORYLINE
● UC Irvine (14-9, 0-6 MPSF) takes to the road this week, traveling to UC San Diego for a non-conference game Thursday (6:00 p.m.) and facing Long Beach State Sunday at noon in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and "Black & Blue" rivalry contest at the 49ers' Campus Pool.
QUICK HITS
● Junior Bojan Hrlec leads UCI with 60 goals and he ranks fifth in the MPSF with an average of 2.73 goals per game. He had four goals in a 12-10 loss to California last Thursday and scored a high of six goals in the Sept. 9 win over Pomona-Pitzer.
● Junior Mitch Wise, who has scored 58 goals on the season, ranks seventh in the MPSF at 2.52 goals per game. He tied his career high with six goals in a 14-12 loss to Pacific last Friday night and had five goals each in the first three games of the season.
● Senior Nick Pfeil has scored 29 goals this season with a high of four in the Sept. 1 win over Redlands. He ranks 23rd in the MPSF at 1.26 goals per game.
● Sophomore Jacob Mourer has 27 goals, with a high of four in the season-opening victory over Chapman Sept. 1.
● Senior Winston Newland has scored 21 goals this year, including hat tricks in wins over Pacific and Occidental.
● Sophomore Alan Robertson also has a pair of hat tricks this season and has scored 20 goals.
● Redshirt freshman Chris Swieca has scored 18 goals this season with a high of three in the win over Cal Lutheran at the Gary Troyer Tournament.
● Sophomore Blake Terry scored three goals in the 14-12 loss to Pacific last Friday. He has scored nine goals on the season.
● Junior goalie Alex Kazmier has 146 saves this season with a high of 17 in the Sept. 16 overtime win over UC Santa Barbara in the fifth-place game of the NorCal Tournament. He ranks sixth in the MPSF with an average of 9.82 saves per game.
● Redshirt sophomore goalie Dylan Peterson has recorded 48 saves this season.
● Sophomore Michael Bailey has 35 saves in 10 appearances this season.
● UCI defeated UC San Diego, 11-8 in overtime, in the NorCal Tournament at Stanford Sept. 15.
● Sunday marks the first meeting of the season between the 'Eaters and Long Beach State.
ON THE HORIZON
● UCI ends the regular season on the road Nov. 18 at UCLA. The game has a new start time of 10:30 a.m. and will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
