Jennifer Tsurumoto Named ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week

TSURUMOTO NAMED ESPN ZONE ANAHEIM ANTEATER OF THE WEEK
Irvine, Calif. -- UC Irvine women's basketball player Jennifer Tsurumoto has been named this week's ESPN Zone Anaheim Anteater of the Week.
The junior guard from Sebastopol, had a strong showing in the Aggie Hotel Encanto Thanksgiving Classic over the weekend. Tsurumoto scored a career-high 21 points in the first game of the tournament against Drake. She also chipped in with five assists and five rebounds in the 69-64 victory. In the championship game on Saturday, Tsurumoto led the Anteaters for the second straight night with 14 points and a career-high six rebounds. In the tournament, Tsurumoto finished with an average of 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 steals, while shooting .609 (14-23) from the field. Her efforts helped name her to the all-tournament team, along with teammate sophomore forward Methlyn Onogomuho.
After the Anteaters travel north to take on Seattle University on Saturday (Dec. 1) at 4:00 p.m. They return home to the Bren Center on Wednesday (Dec. 5) against Idaho.
