IRVINE, Calif. --- Senior guard Daman Starring captured the title of the annual slam-dunk contest during the "Midnight Magic" celebration in front of a full house at SHOCKTOBERFEST 2012 Friday night in the Bren Center.

The crowd also saw senior Michael Wilder hit his last shot to pull out a late win for the men's team over the UCI women's squad in the three-point shooting contest.
