
U.S. Outlasts Canada; Finishes Fifth At Pan American Games

Guadalajara, Mexico -- The U.S. Men's Volleyball Team fought off two match points and ended the Pan American Games on a positive note as it defeated Canada, 3-2 (22-25, 25-15, 25-19, 21-25, 19-17) for a fifth-place finish in Guadalajara, Mexico Saturday.
The five-set match was the fifth out of six that the U.S (3-3) played over the six days of the tournament and avenged a five-set loss to the Canadians in pool play.
John Speraw, head coach of the Pan Am team, will return to UCI and guide the Anteaters, who open the year with an exhibition against Brandon University Dec, 29 at 7:00 p.m. in Crawford Court.
