
Jordan DuFault Helps U.S. To Opening Match Win Over Puerto Rico At Pan Am Games

Guadalajara, Mexico. – Former UC Irvine All-American Jordan DuFault helped the U.S. Men's Volleyball Team to a 3-2 (22-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-16, 15-13) victory over Puerto Rico in its opening pool play match at the Pan American Games Monday in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The U.S. team came back from a 12-9 deficit in the fifth to beat Puerto Rico and improve to 1-0. The team will play Canada at 2:00 p.m. PT in Pool B on Tuesday. Watch online tomorrow on Terra.
DuFault, who started the match at outside hitter, added six points and two digs.
The U.S. Men, who are coached by UCI's John Speraw, led in kills (53-52), blocks (16-14) and in aces (4-2). They also took advantage of 33 Puerto Rico errors while committing 30. The U.S. Men had a kill percent of 39.0 while Puerto Rico's was 37.4.
