Tanya Taylor is one of two women's soccer players to earn National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-American distinction in 2010. She was also named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-West Region First Team in 2010.
The 2010 Big West Conference Offensive Player of the Year captained UCI's first team to reach the NCAA Tournament (2010) then advancing on to the Sweet Sixteen. She was the first Anteater to record double digits in goals (11) and assists (12) in a single season. The three-time All-Big West honoree, ranks first in UCI assists in a season (12) as well as tied for first in assists in a single game (3), games started in a single season (24), games played in a single season (24), second in all-time points scored in a season (34) and third all-time for career games played (83) and assists (21) as well as ranking fourth all-time in UCI career points (69) and goals (24).
She was honored as the Lauds and Laurels Outstanding Student Athlete Award (2011).
Taylor was a member of Haiti's national women's soccer team (2011-2012) before becoming the first Anteater to be drafted to the pros with Boston Breakers of the National Women's Soccer League.
