Julie Brooks

Julie Brooks was named the second head coach in program history on August 24, 2006.

She has been named Big West Coach of the Year three times, guiding her teams to two Big West titles and an NCAA Championship appearance in 2007 and 2009.

The Hawaii native is active nationally, serving as a member of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee.

Brooks came to UCI after serving as an assistant coach at the University of Hawaii (2004-06) and was a volunteer assistant coach at California from 2000-02.

She has also worked for Cooke Island Distributors, Hawaii's distributor of Callaway Golf. She has been a professional at the Oahu Country Club, Burning Tree Country Club and Elmwood Country Club and is a former member of the LPGA Teaching and Club Pro Division.

Brooks played at the University of Arizona from 1986-1988, turning professional in 1989. She played on the Futures Golf Tour from 1989-1992 and received her B.A. degree in history from Hawaii Pacific University.
