When and how did you get started playing basketball?
I started playing basketball in seventh grade. I was in P.E. and when I picked a ball up my teacher said you're playing basketball for us.
Â
Did you play any other sports?
When I was younger I played softball and flag football.
Â
Who has been your biggest inspiration on the court?
I like Anthony Edwards, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and A'ja Wilson. Their game is just so smooth, and I hope to be like one of them one day.
Â
What has been your favorite basketball memory so far?
In high school, I would say our team dinners. We'd play games and just have fun.
Â
What are you most looking forward to this season?
Winning a championship and getting closer with the team.
Â
What do you enjoy doing when you have some down time?
Sleeping and watching my shows. I watch Teen Titans Go and Clarence.
Â
Why UC Irvine?
I picked UC Irvine because when I came on my official visit, it seemed like a family. Knowing I was going to be far away from my mom, the coaches made it feel like when I'm here they would take on that role.
Â
What has been your favorite thing about Irvine so far?
I like the weather. Then with basketball, I like how hard Coach T coaches. She wants what's best for us.
