IRVINE, Calif. – UC Irvine Athletics raised a record $437,237 dollars from 949 gifts in a 24-hour span during the eighth annual Giving Day.

For the fourth consecutive year, Athletics exceeded its goal both in dollars and gifts.

Men's volleyball had a banner day of support, bringing in a department-best $120,733.00 on 174 gifts. The No. 3 ranked Anteaters' total was the highest amount in the eight-year event, receiving 55 more gifts than last year.

Men's basketball, men's soccer, baseball and women's basketball rounded out the top 5 in dollars and number of gifts.

In total, the UC Irvine campus received 4,118 gifts and raised $2,371,441.

All gifts directly enhance student-athletes through scholarships, recruitment, facility improvements, and investments in our coaching staffs.
