PALM DESERT, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team completed the second round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate Wednesday at the Classic Club.

The Anteaters dropped three spots into a tie for 10th with a 36-hole score of 586 (290-296).

Grand Canyon leads the 17-team field by six strokes at 558 (279-279). The Lopes' Nicky Kling moved to 8-under 136 (69-67) to take over the top spot on the individual leaderboard.

Rei Harashima and
Darien Zhao paced the Anteaters in the second round as both carded a 1-over 73. Through 36 holes, Harashima is tied for 38th with a score of 146 (73-73). Zhao saw a seven-stroke improvement to climb 14 spots into a tie for 84th.

Jin Nakao, who did not have any blemishes on his scorecard in yesterday's opening round, finished with three bogeys for a 75 (+3). Nakao is tied for 32nd at 1-over 145 (70-75).

Yaoting Zou is also tied for 66th (76-75), while
Jason Tang is tied for 77th (71-81).

The final round of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate will be contested tomorrow with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
