IRVINE, Calif.-- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association honored the top academic tennis players in the country Monday which included a host of Anteaters among their academic awards.

UC Irvine was one of 234 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction, and its a sixth straight year they've claimed the honor. To be eligible, all varsity letterwinners must have combined for a minimum 3.2 team grade-point average during the 2022-23 academic year.

Eight Anteaters earned Scholar Athlete distinction – Alyssia Fossorier, Asha Gidwani, Mikaela Hinton, Haily Huynh, Nour Khayat, Kayla Meraz, Mia Totah, and Cydney Yamamoto - marking the sixth time the program has honored at least five members. The duo of Fossorier and Totah have been named to the list for the second consecutive year. To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must carry a minimum 3.5 GPA for the 2022-23 academic year.
