IRVINE, Calif.— The Anteaters host non-conference opponent Utah State before heading up to Northridge for a league match against CSUN.

- The duo of Asha Gidwani and Amanda Perez won their No. 3 doubles competition, 6-2.
- At No. 3 singles, Gidwani forced a tiebreaker set for the second match in a row and has emerged victorious both times.
- Jenna Schlatter fought at the No. 1 singles spot, pulling out the victory in extra points in the second set.
- The final Anteater point came from Amada Perez at No. 5 singles, earning the 6-4 and outright 6-0 victories.

Utah State
Utah State comes into the dual match with a 3-3 overall record. UC Irvine holds the slight 1-0 advantage over the Aggies and have not met since 2002. Utah State will first play at Big West foe UC San Diego before trekking up to Irvine.
Monique Burton leads the Aggies with a 4-1 record at No. 3 singles in dual matches. Magdalena Nunez Pureco was named the Mountain West Freshman Player of the Week on Mar. 1 after picking up the win at No. 5 singles in straight sets.
CSUN
CSUN enters the week with a 6-2 record and are a perfect 2-0 in the Big West. The Matadors will look to improve their record against Youngstown State before they face the Anteaters. UCI looks to snap a four-match skid against CSUN.
The Matadors are led by Yuliia Zhytelna and Sasha Turchak. Zhytelna was named the Big West Player of the Week on February 8
th after winning her third consecutive single match at the No. 3 position. Turchak holds a 4-2 record in singles play and is 4-3 at No. 2 doubles with Zhytelna.
