BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- UC Irvine finished in a tie for seventh at The Valley Invitational hosted at the Bakersfield Country Club.

UCI shot a three-round total of 920 (306-305-309) to finish in a tie for seventh with UC Riverside. San Francisco (897) won the title for the second consecutive year with USF's Rianna Mission as the medalist (219).

The Anteaters were led by Megan Yang (80-73-75) and Jasmine Chen (73-77-78) who tied for 19^th with a three-round total of 228. Yang had UCI's best round of the day and was tied for fifth in birdies for the tournament with nine. Chen followed with eight.

Yang and Nicole Zhang were tied for second on Par 3s (-1), while Chen was tied for best average on Par 5s (-3).

Kiana Briggs was tied for 32^nd with a 54-hole total of 233 (77-80-76), Zhang was tied for 43^rd at 236 (81-75-80) and Charlotte Ryoo was tied for 59^th with a score of 243 (76-85-82).

UCI will return to action Feb. 27-28 at The Beach Invitational at the Mission Viejo Country Club.
