ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The UC Irvine women's indoor track & field team wrapped up action at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational Saturday at the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Cathy Salazar-Gasca led the way with an impressive performance in the 800m where she clocked in with a personal-record 2:14.77. Her altitude-adjusted time of 2:14.02 ranks third in program history.
Emma McCarthy (2:18.00) and
Alexis Alexander (2:20.97), who both posted top-10 marks in the 600m on Friday, established season bests in the 800m.

Reyna Johnson finished seventh in the 60m hurdle qualifying round to advance to the prelims where she ran a season-best 8.69. Johnson moved up three spots to No. 6 on UCI's all-time charts.
Amari Fraser also came in 20th at 9.01 seconds.

Aryel Coats led a trio of 'Eaters in the 60m, placing 38th out of 75 with a time of 7.86 seconds, and
Zani Meaders ran a season-best 56.76 in the seeded 400m.

Coats, Meaders, Fraser and Alexander also cracked the Anteaters' all-time list in the 4x400 as the quartet combined for a time of 3:52.60.

Anna Vogtmann (5:15.88) and
Olivia Liuson (5:32.18) made their collegiate indoor debuts in the mile.

In the shot put,
Deandra Tyler notched a personal-record 42-01.25, improving her No. 4 mark in school history.

UC Irvine is back in action next weekend, traveling to Spokane, Washington, for the MPSF Indoor Championships, Feb. 18-19.
