IRVINE, Calif. -- UC Irvine women's golf coach
Margo Dionisio announced the signing of Alyson Sor to a National Letter of Intent.
"I'm excited to welcome Alyson to the Anteater Family,' Dionisio said. "She is a fierce competitor and will bring great energy to the team next year."
Sor concluded her prep career at Wilson High School, winning her third Moore League championship in four years. She shot a 135 over 36 holes, which tied the league record. Sor also captured league titles as a freshman and junior, becoming the only player to win the title in consecutive years and is one of three players to win the title three times in a career. She advanced to the second round of the CIF Southern Section as an individual and helped the Bruins qualify for the CIF-SS team divisional championships. Sor, who has been named press Telegram Athlete of the Week, finished second at the Long Beach Women's City Championship last June.
Sor is Dionisio's first signee after taking over the program in August.
