IRVINE, Calif. – The FIBA 2022 qualifiers are underway this week and two UC Irvine men's basketball alumni will represent their respective countries.

2015 graduate Will Davis II will represent Team USA at the FIBA AmeriCup while 2017 graduate Luke Nelson will represent Great Britain at the FIBAEuroBasket.

Davis and Nelson were both a part of UCI's first-ever 2015 NCAA Tournament team and named to the All-Tournament team.

Davis finished his UCI career ninth all-time in scoring (1,384 points) and third all-time in rebounds (852). He was the 2013 Big West Defensive Player of the Year, an All-Big West first team selection and Mid-Major Defensive All-America.

Nelson, a Big West all-conference player and the 2014 Big West Freshman of the Year, is UCI's leader in all-time three-pointers made (258), fifth all-time at UCI in career steals (145) and fourth in assists (415) and fourth in scoring (1,581).
