BOISE, Idaho – UC Irvine finished the non-conference schedule with a 3-0 loss at Boise State.

The Anteaters head in to Big West action with a 3-9 overall record. Boise State improves to 8-3 on the year.

Abby Marjama and Makayla Wolfe were named to the Boise State Classic All-Tournament team.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
>Outside hitter Abby Marjama led UCI with 12 kills, two aces and seven digs
>Middle blocker Makayla Wolfe had a team-high five blocks to go with eight kills
>Boise State's Janell Walley matched Marjama with 12 kills to lead the Broncos

TURNING POINTS
FIRST SET
>UCI would have a two point lead on a few occasions then took control on a pair of Bronco attack errors and a kill by Abby Marjama, 17-13
>UCI errors would help the Broncos back in the set, 20-19, but UCI responded with a kill by Marjama and a BSU attack that went wide to put the Anteaters up 22-19
>Following a timeout, Boise State would score five straight points to turn the tables and lead 24-22
>After a Marjama kill, a UCI service error would hand Boise State the set 25-23
>The Anteaters had four aces in the set

SECOND SET
>Down 7-4, UCI would tie the set at 7-7 on kills by Marjama and Kiani Stanton plus a block by Kelly Negron and Stanton
>UCI would take its first lead on a kill and ace by Marjama, 11-10
>A 4-1 run by the Broncos gave Boise State a 15-13 advantage
>The Anteaters would catch the Broncos at 15-15 then took a 16-15 lead on a block by Wolfe and Negron
>BSU would score five of the next six points to go up 20-17
>The Broncos would hold the 23-21 advantage and after a UCI timeout, the Anteaters used kills by Wolfe and Carter to knot the score 23-23
>At 28-28, Boise State had a kill and a UCI attack error to win 30-28

THIRD SET
>Four Anteater errors gave BSU a 4-0 start
>Three consecutive kills would move the Bronco lead out to 8-2
>The set was all Boise State as they won 25-10

NOTES
>UCI hit just .081 after posting a .280 mark a day ago
>It is the sixth time Marjama has led the Anteaters in kills this season
