IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's tennis team started its busy weekend off on the right foot, with a 7-0 victory over Hope International Friday at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

UC Irvine improves to 13-6 on the season while HIU, an NAIA school, drops to 7-13 overall.

The Anteaters made quick work of the Royals, clinching the doubles point and sweeping all six singles matches.

INSIDE THE MATCH
> Jacqueline Tsodikova and Gillian Parker clinched the doubles point with a 6-1 win on court two
> Danielle Garrido/Jessica Tsukiji won at the top spot, 6-2, over HIU's Samantha Paz and Kristen Russo

> Pavani continued her impressive day going 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles to defeat Kayla Jensen

> Alyssia Fossorier won at the top spot, 6-3, 6-2 while Arianna Tilbury earned a 7-6 (7-1), 6-1 victory at No. 2
