IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's track & field team had two runner-up finishes on the first day of the Steve Scott Invitational Friday at Anteater Stadium.

Sophomore
Seth Enochs was the top collegiate finisher, and second overall, in the long jump. He took the lead early, opening Flight 2 with a personal-record 25-00.75 before Stevens Dorcelus of Canada eventually passed him with a top mark of 25-05.25. Enochs moved up to No. 4 in program history becoming one of only four 'Eaters to reach the 25-foot mark.

Jack Pickard was also second in the javelin with his best toss of the afternoon measuring 196 feet, 6 inches.

Christian Hernandez competed in the 5000m (15:47.55).

UC Irvine returns to Anteater Stadium in full force on Saturday for the second day of the Steve Scott Invitational starting with the 4x100 relay at 12 p.m.
