KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UC Irvine Director of Analytics/Recruiting Coordinator
Michael Lenahan was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) 2019 Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team.
The 2019 Under Armour 30-Under-30 Team represents 30 of the most outstanding men's college basketball coaches under the age of 30.
Lenahan played a crucial role in helping UCI achieve its best season in program history as the Anteaters earned the most wins (31) and longest winning streak (17 games) in program history. UCI won its second-ever Big West Tournament Championship, earning an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Anteaters won their first-ever NCAA Tournament game after defeating fourth-seed Kansas State in a 70-64 upset.
Lenahan helped UCI to a 15-1 record in Big West play, tying the program best. The Anteaters also become the first Big West team to win 30 games in a season since 1991.
In his fourth season with the 'Eaters, Lenahan oversees the team managers, video operations, assists with travel and maintains the recruiting database, as well as working with program supporter outreach. Â

About the National Association of Basketball Coaches
Located in Kansas City, Mo., the NABC was founded in 1927 by Forrest "Phog" Allen, the legendary basketball coach at the University of Kansas. Allen, a student of James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, organized coaches into this collective group to serve as Guardians of the Game. The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. All members of the NABC are expected to uphold the core values of being a Guardian of the Game by bringing attention to the positive aspects of the sport of basketball and the role coaches play in the academic and athletic lives of today's student-athletes. The four core values of being a Guardian of the Game are advocacy, leadership, service and education. Additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, can be found at
