IRVINE, Calif. – The UC Irvine women's tennis team won its fifth-straight match after sweeping Mesa College (Ariz.), 7-0, Friday at Anteater Tennis Stadium.

With the win, UCI improves to 12-3 on the season. Mesa College falls to 5-3 overall.

The format of today's match had each match worth one point, for a total of seven points.

DOUBLES
> Alyssia Fossorier and Megan Mansonhing did not drop a point, defeating Alahzay Rossi and Cidny Anders, 6-0 at No. 2
> Jessica Tsukiji and Dasee Carter put the 'Eaters up 2-0 after winning at No. 1, 6-4

SINGLES
> Tsukiji made quick work of her opponent at the top spot, 6-1, 6-1
> Arianna Tilbury followed with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2 over Paige Stanford to clinch the match for UCI
> Mansonhing was next to finish beating Brooke MacLay, 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5
> Fossorier earned a win at No. 3 over Cidny Anders, 6-2, 6-2
> Carter completed the sweep with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 4
