LAS CRUCES, NM -- Sophomore Madison Riggs led UC Irvine in the first round of the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational at the NM State Golf Course.

Riggs shot a 76 Monday with the help of three birdies and is in 15^th place.

Cameron Lee, Sienna Lyford and Angela Bagasbas are tied for 41^st with a score of 78 after the first round and Gabby Gonzales is tied for 71^st at 81.

The team is tied for ninth with score of 310. Host NMSU and Northern Arizona share the tournament lead at 296.
 
The tournament continues with 18 holes tomorrow beginning at 7:30 a.m.
