STOCKTON, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team held steady in 10th place through the final round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Wednesday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

The Anteaters closed out the three-day tournament with a 54-hole total of 877 (300-281-296). San Jose State claimed the team title at 16-under 848, edging out fifth-ranked BYU by three strokes. The Spartans' Sean Yu captured medalist honors with an 11-under 205.

Jonathan Kang was UCI's top finisher for the second tournament in a row. He carded a final-round 73 for an overall score of 2-over 218 (76-69-73).

Ramiz Jamal also tied for 40th at 3-over 219 (74-70-75), while sophomore
Trueman Park tied for 46th in his 'Eater debut. Park matched Kang for the team's best round of the day to finish at 4-over 220 (77-70-73).

Parker Lestz (229) rounded out UC Irvine's lineup in 59th and 78th, respectively.

This was the Anteaters' final tournament of the fall. They will be off from competition until they open the spring season by co-hosting the Orange County Collegiate Classic with Cal State Fullerton at Coto de Caza South Course, Feb. 10-11.
