STOCKTON, Calif. - The UC Irvine men's golf team completed the first round of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational Monday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.

Through 18 holes, the Anteaters are tied for 12th with UC Riverside (300).

Sophomore
Parker Lestz leads the 'Eaters as he is tied for 25th after carding a first-round 73. Lestz made the turn at even par and got to 1-under with a birdie on the 10th, but a couple bogeys on the back nine put him at 1-over.

Senior
Ramiz Jamal shot a 2-over 74 to tie for 40th, while classmate
Jonathan Kang is tied for 61st (76).

Sophomores
Matt Gunson and
Trueman Park are both tied for 70th at 5-over 77. Gunson had his first eagle of the season on the par-5, 540-yard fourth hole. Park also had a team-best three birdies in his Anteater debut.

San Jose State holds the early lead at 6-under 282. The Spartans' Sean Yu shot a 64 (-8) for a four-stroke advantage through one round.
