SUPPORTING EXCELLENCE
All proceeds from the tournament directly benefit UC Irvine's 18 NCAA Division I sport programs and 350+ student-athletes.

UCI student-athletes participate in the tournament every year, greeting players on every hole of the course as well as at the post-round dinner and auction.

In 2017-18, UCI had three teams make NCAA appearances, won two Big West Championships and captured one regular season title. The Anteaters had 11 All-Americans, three Conference Players of the Year, five Conference Newcomers of the Year and three Coaches of the Year.

Over the past 7 years, the tournament has raised over a half million dollars for UCI student-athlete scholarships and support.

BROOKS FILE
Brooks enters his ninth season as a NBA head coach and the third at the helm of the Washington Wizards.

As a player, he was an NBA Champion with the Houston Rockets in 1994 and was named NBA Head Coach Of The Year in 2010. The former guard has been the head coach of the All-Star Game twice.

Brooks played in 56 career games at UCI from 1985-87 and currently ranks sixth in steals (123) and 10th in three-pointers made (142) all-time.

The guard poured in 43 points in the opening night of the Bren Events Center on Jan. 8, 1987, the second most points scored by an Anteater player.

BIG PERSONALITIES
Brooks is no stranger to coaching big NBA talent and this year will be no different as the Wizards acquired Dwight Howard. The 6-11, 265 pound Howard joins the Wizards, who lost to the Toronto Raptors in Game Six of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals a year ago.

RIVER RUNS THRU
Brooks will be coaching Austin Rivers this season, brother of men's basketball player Spencer Rivers.
