SEAL BEACH, Calif. – UC Irvine finished seventh at The Gold Rush held at the Old Ranch Country Club.
The Anteaters completed the second round that was postponed due to darkness before finishing the final round Tuesday.
UCI shot a final round of 300 and ended the two-day tournament with a score of 907 (302-305-300). The Anteaters led the tournament field in Par 3 scoring at +5 (3.08).
Junior Kaley In had her fifth top-20 finish of the year, placing 11th with a 54-hole total of 221 (74-74-73). In had seven birdies and 38 pars over the two days.
Avery French had the lowest round of the tournament for UCI with an even-par 72 Tuesday. She was tied for 21st overall with a score of 225 (79-74-72) and tied for first among the tournament field in Par 5 scoring (4.67,-4). Breanne Jones was tied for 36th at 229 (73-78-78), Janet Yeo was tied for 54th at 234 (78-79-77) and Sabrina Li was tied for 58th with a three-round total of 235 (77-79-79).
Kelsey Kawaguchi played well as an individual, placing tied for 39th at 231 (80-76-75). Camille Wagg was tied for 45th with a score of 232 (78-76-78). Kawaguch was steady with 37 Pars.
UCI and Long Beach State will hold a Black & Blue Dual match on Monday (Mar. 6).
