RIVERSIDE, Calif. – UC Irvine began the spring season with a seventh place finish at the Battle At The Rock at the Oak Quarry Golf Club.
The Anteaters were seventh with a three round total of 923 (314-303-306). Big West schools took the top three spots with Cal Poly winning the tournament at 903 followed by Hawaii (909) and UC Riverside (913). NAU's Sofia Anokhina was the medalist with a score of 216 (71-73-72).
Avery French posted her third top 10 finish of the year, placing 10th with a three-round score of 225 (78-73-74). Kaley In was tied for 17th at 228 (78-74-76), her fourth top 20 performance of the year. Janet Yeo tied for 37th with a 234 total (81-77-76), Camille Wagg ended in a tie for 51st at 240 (77-80-83), while Sabrina Li was tied for 77th with a score of 251 (92-79-80). Grace Ferrell was tied for 73rd in her first collegiate tournament with a 248 total (82-81-85).
UCI returns to action at The Gold Rush on Feb. 27-28 at The Old Ranch Country Club.
