SEATTLE, Wash. - The UC Irvine women's cross country team concluded the 2017 season with a 32nd-place finish at the NCAA West Regional Friday morning at Jefferson Park Golf Course.

Anastasia Karnaze led the 'Eaters for the fifth time in six races this year as she covered the 6000-meter course in 22:21.6. Karnaze placed 149th out of 243 of the top runners in the West Region.

Senior
Jenessa Reyes followed in 168th with a time of 22:31.6, while sophomore
Brenda Dorantes came in 187th (22:53.7).

Megan Mirkhanian clocked in at 23:40.2 (215th), and sophomore
Keely Boyd was the Anteaters' fifth scorer at 23:46.6 (218th).

Olympia Martinez rounded out the UCI contingent at 25:05.4

San Francisco claimed the team title with 59 points, while Pac-12 members Stanford (76) and Oregon (92) were second and third, respectively. The Dons' Charlotte Taylor was the individual NCAA West Regional champion with a 6K time of 19:14.2.
