RIVERSIDE, Calif. - The UC Irvine women's cross country team ran to a 10th-place finish at the Highlander Invitational Saturday morning in Riverside.

Jenessa Reyes was the Anteaters' top runner, clocking in with a personal-record 18:30.8 over 5000 meters at the UCR Ag/Ops Course. Reyes, who shaved over 20 seconds off her previous best, was 41st overall.

Brenda Dorantes came in 49th at 18:41.4, while classmate
Anastasia Karnaze was 59th (18:52.5). Sophomore
Keely Boyd added a lifetime-best 19:02.4 to place 69th.

Megan Mirkhanian (96th, 19:58.6), freshman
Amy Flores (108th, 20:41.2) and senior
Olympia Martinez (112th, 20:47.3) rounded out UCI's top seven.

UC Santa Barbara claimed the team title with 50 points, and the Gauchos' Jenna Hinkle was the individual champion at 16:48.0.
