LAWRENCE, Kan. --- UC Irvine junior Lloyd Sicard has earned his second straight trip to Eugene, Ore., and the NCAA Championships following his performance Saturday at the NCAA West Preliminary Round in Lawrence, Kan.
Sicard won his heat and finished third overall in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 13.61 seconds, just off his school record of 13.60 that he set a year ago.
He will compete in the NCAA semifinals June 8 at 5:32 p.m. at Hayward Field in Eugene. The final is scheduled for June 10 at 6:12 p.m.
Sicard, the 2016 Big West Conference co-Athlete of the Year in men's track, was making his third consecutive appearance in the NCAA West Prelims this week.
Also on Saturday in Lawrence, UCI junior Matt Seawright placed 29th overall in the discus throw with a mark of 171-10 at Rock Chalk Park.
