IRVINE, Calif. --- Saturday's UC Irvine Senior Day featured some impressive marks during the 22nd annual adidas/Steve Scott Invitational at Anteater Stadium.
Kaulyn Lee-McNeill (59.78) and Paige Bushnell (60.38) finished 2-3 in the 400-meter hurdles as they were the top collegiate finishers in the event.
Crystal Lizaola was fifth in the 400 hurdles in 61.57 and Tyra Jones sixth in a career-best 61.66.
UC Irvine's 4x400 relay of Lee-McNeill, Megan George, Lizaola and Simone Buchanan posted a season-best time of 3:44.69 to finish second.
The 4x100 relay also placed second as Taisyn Crutchfield, George, Michelle Norman and Persis William-Mensah recorded a time of 45.03.
George was the top collegiate finisher and third overall in the 100-meter hurdles in 13.62, Megan Benson was sixth in 14.00 and Paige Bushnell seventh in a season-best time of 14.03.
William-Mensah placed fifth in the 100 meters with a time of 11.71, just off her school record of 11.69 set earlier this season.
Danika Hitchcock recorded a career-best mark of 37-5 ¾ to finish fifth in the triple jump and Madelyn Sando was seventh in the high jump at 4-11.
Crutchfield was 10th in the 100 in 12.01 (12.007) and Norman 11th, also in 12.01 (12.008).
Elizabeth Akindele placed ninth in the shot put with a mark of 40-8 ¼ and Barbara Coward was ninth in the discus throw at 158-4.
Buchanan moved into UCI's all-time Top 10 list in the 400 meters at No. 9 with a career-best time of 56.09 to finish 13th Saturday.
In the 800 meters, Lauren Hall posted a career-best time of 2:13.28 in finishing 15th of 55 competitors.
UCI seniors recognized at their final home meet were Megan Benson, Paige Bushnell, Bridget Devaney, Rebecca Garcia, Lauren Hall, Danika Hitchcock, Kaulyn Lee-McNeill, Charity Lyons, Kelly Magana, Tatiana Martinez, Marisa McGinnis, Marthie Ponty and Madelyn Sando.
Melanie Speech and Elizabeth Cotociu will represent UCI in the the Big West Multi Championships at Long Beach State Friday and Saturday.
The Big West Championships are May 13-14 at Long Beach State.
