LAKESIDE, Calif. --- UC Irvine is in fifth place after Monday's first two rounds of the Barona Collegiate Cup at Barona Creek Golf Club in Lakeside.
The Anteaters have a 36-hole total of 594. San Diego State leads the field at 555, Minnesota is in second at 580 and Sacramento State is third at 589.
UCI senior Jacob Schulze is in 21st place at 3-over 147 (68-79), junior Bryan Shin is 31st at 150 (79-71) and sophomore Jonathan Young is 38th at 151 (72-79).
Sophomore Johnny Hyun (76-76) and redshirt freshman Chris Parkinson (79-73) are tied for 43rd place at 152.
Minnesota's Runar Arnorrson leads after shooting 11-under 133 (62-71) Monday.
The final 18 holes are scheduled for Tuesday.
